Registration for the SMCP Webinar Series 2018 is now open!

The SMCP Webinar Series is an annual series of 10-15 live, online presentations that focus on essential business transition topics. Each 30 min. webinar features an industry expert who delivers up-to-date succession planning information, including a question and answer period at the end, and can be accessed privately from one's home or office. Registered participants may join any of the webinars as they happen live or watch recordings at their convenience for a limited time afterward.

How it Works

Signing up is free and fast. Become a member and browse our public resources, request a free consultation, and connect with our Preferred Partners.

Members who want to match with business buyers and/or sellers can create a listing and pay an annual fee or input a coupon code obtained through special programming. Our matching algorithm will then look for profile commonality and send connections requests to buyers and sellers based on member information.

Members control who they connect with and set their own profile and privacy options to allow secure and discreet site access. In addition to getting matched with compatible members, everyone who has created a listing will also have access to more resources and receive a welcome message from us with suggestions and next steps for their transition plan.

Alison Anderson is the Founder and CEO of With a background in Human Resources and Economic Development, Alison has always been interested in helping entrepreneurs. As a business owner herself, she understands the hard work and dedication that is required a successful business. She strives every day to improve the business landscape for all businesses without losing sight of the people behind each.



Director of Special Projects

Dana Maxim is the Director of Special Projects at SuccessionMatching. Her previous experience in occupations including Disability Case Manager, Life Claims Assessor, and Personal Trainer have given her insight into how diverse small businesses operate....She graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a BSc Kinesiology in 2009, and happily resides in Nova Scotia with her husband and son.



Director of Partnerships and Analyst

Meg Ronson is the Director of Partnerships and Analyst at SuccessionMatching, a business that matches buyers and sellers of businesses and connects them with succession planning professionals. Meg is an experienced small business sector and succession planning researcher... educator, and resource coordinator, and has a passion for changing the succession landscape in Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Humanities from Carleton University, a Certificate in Economics from Ryerson University, and a Master of Economic Development and Innovation from the University of Waterloo.

Jason Vinck is the Director of Communications and Learning at Jason holds a BA from the University of Regina and an MA from McGill University. He has worked as an educator with companies like Just for Laughs and Ubisoft. He has also worked in Communications for ...companies such as SaskEnergy and Farm Credit Canada as well as other small to medium-sized businesses.
